Visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art

We decided to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art to find inspiration for the work Kena and Keianna have been doing for Artready.  We wandered the whole museum, spending a lot of time in the Egyptian art collection, since Keianna has used some Egyptian -influenced imagery in her work.

Because we spent the first half of Artready working in clay, we also spent some time looking at ceramics and porcelain, to see what is possible with this material.  One of the most impressive pieces we saw was this “Ceramic Fireplace Surround:”Image
