One of Emilie’s jewelry designs. Handmade out of metal and painted in gold.
This is Emilie’s work place. This is where she melts her metal and starts creating her amazing jewelry.
Emilie uses a torch to melt the metal into different types of shapes.
This is Emilie melting metal. She says that the shape of the metal comes out different each time. So it’s hard to duplicate metal perfectly.
Emilie explains to students how she uses wax to make some of her jewelry.
This is one of her creations made from metal, a golden rose ring. She said it was challenging to make but practice makes perfect.
Some more of her rings. The red and blue one were wax molds. The molds were used to make rings like the gold ring.
Emilie uses a hammer to smooth out the ring and also to make a specific ring size.
One of the student’s rings that we made in Emilie’s studio. We made the rings out of wire and designed them which ever way we pleased. We also got the chance to take the rings home.
