Art Ready with Chat Travieso

 

On November 18th students met Smack Mellon resident artist and mentor, Chat Travieso. During his studio visit he talked about his work, many of his works are public space design with an emphasis on its use by the community. With that, the students were given a task to venture out into the neighborhood (DUMBO) to photograph things that people use, conventional or not. The Art Ready students came back with a range of different images.  Here are some examples of their work.
